In an effort to stay somewhat organized I have come up with a website to help assist those who I need to keep in touch with.  Because I do not know what exactly is going to be placed on this site yet, please bear with me until I get this thing going.

BLOG at this site to share your thoughts and ideas:

St. Ferdinand Youth Ministy:

At St. Ferdinand's we have a wonderful youth group.  Thanks to some very dedicated youth ministers, we have some great young people that gather weekly to participate in some fun and faith activities.  As the parish has undergone some changes over the years, the youth group has remained strong and vibrant.  Some of the big activities for the year include the annual Stubenville retreat in Springfield Mo., and the annual trip to Washington D.C. for the March for Life.

The group meets currently every week on Wednesdays to play games, pray, and share the daily life issues face teens these days.  With the changes in the demographics around the area, and the different high schools that teens attend, the youth group serves as wonderful place for teens to reunite and maintain those bonds and friendships they have had for so long.  It is also a wonderful place for teens to grow in spirit and faith as they go through life's journey.

The NorthEast Deanery will begin to gather as a group in the coming summer and fall to unite all the youth groups of the area into fun and faith filled activities.  This is a first for the area and future news will be coming shortly.

If you are a teen from St. Ferdinand and would like to join the youth group.  You may come on any given Wednesday at 7pm.  We usually gather in the basement of the Duchesne Center.

St. Ferdinand Young Adults Group: New EVENT!!!

Details below!!!

The Young Adults group of St. Ferdinand is a new group to the area is composed of adults between the ages of 21 to 40 who are single or married that are looking for a laid back group of people who gather for faith, fun, and food.  Because we will often go to resturaunts and order those frosty beverages, we keep the age minimum at 21.  40 is not the absolute cut-off if the spouse is still under the age of 40.  We would hate to break up a good thing.  For those in other age groups, there are plenty of groups within the parish that you may be a part of and probably relate better too!

Anyway the Young Adults group attracts members from other near-by parishes, which is awesome!  All are welcome (Given the above requirements)!!!  We had our first meeting in January at Cannoli's resturaunt and loved it.  Approximately 14 people showed up!  Other wanted to come, but could not due to work and previous engagements.  Our next gathering will be this February.  We are hoping to gather for a movie and dinner!  Details will come soon.  If you are from the Florissant area and are Catholic and are between the ages of 21 and 40 and are looking to get to know other young faithfilled Catholics for some lighthearted activities, please contact me.

Our future activities will include picnics, dinners out, beer sampling, short trips, mass, and whatever ideas people come up with.  THis is brand new and a one of kind in the area for young Catholic, drop me a line and we'll let you know when things are taking place.  All activities are "pay your own way!!!"
